Campoaves, the market leader in the specialty poultry farming segment, is the first and only Portuguese producer of free-range chickens to have its products certified by an independent control body.
This new certification joins the Food Safety System certification and the Quality Management System certification in accordance with the requirements of NP EN ISO 9001:2000.
With a strong commitment to quality and its control, Campoaves raises chickens the traditional way, free-range in the countryside in the Lafões region. Their growth is slow (minimum slaughter age: 81 days) and natural, and their diet is cereal-based. That is why they are home-style chickens, with superior quality meat and an unmistakable flavor.
The certification label printed on Campoaves chickens guarantees quality and food safety for the consumer, but it is also a point of honor for the company itself, which believes that success can be achieved without harming nature, by preserving and prioritizing the environment and animal welfare.
Campoaves is a pioneer in free-range chicken production in Portugal, continuing to develop this craft to this day. Founded in 1985, Campoaves has extensive experience in raising free-range chickens using slow-growing breeds. This commitment has been rewarded by informed consumers, who prefer to purchase Campoaves chicken for its quality and safety.
