On 23 September, Lusiaves Group signed a significant protocol with the Champalimaud Foundation, reinforcing its active role in promoting social responsibility and contributing to the development of impactful initiatives in the fields of health and science.

The signing was attended by the Founder and Administrator of Lusiaves Group, Avelino Gaspar, as well as Administrators Susana Gaspar, Francisco Gaspar, and Paulo Pinto. The Champalimaud Foundation was represented by its President, Leonor Beleza, and Vice-President, João Silveira Botelho, highlighting the importance of this strategic partnership.

The agreement provides for a significant donation from Lusiaves Group, to be delivered in annual instalments through 2029. Beyond the terms of the protocol, this collaboration opens the door to new opportunities for interaction between the two institutions. The Champalimaud Foundation is committed to applying this support to initiatives aligned with its mission: to promote excellence in scientific research, technological innovation, and world-class clinical care for the benefit of human health and well-being.

This initiative adds to a long history of social investment by Lusiaves Group, which has supported projects in health, education, and social inclusion over the years. Recent actions include support for the acquisition of hospital equipment for oncological diagnosis and pulmonary treatment at the Leiria Hospital, a contribution to the construction of the Marinha das Ondas School Centre, as well as support for the installation of Snoezelen sensory rooms, the promotion of inclusion initiatives for children with multiple disabilities, and scholarships at various educational institutions.
